One Lonely Cattle Joins Herd – UPDATE

Ichigo, the only cattle that survived the starvation at one of the cow barns within the 20km no-go zone in Fukushima, is living well at the Farm Sanctuary (Field of Hope) together with other 300 cows. She is the only holstein here.

Ichigo today. She's gained some weight and looking peaceful

Ichigo being rescued in early July by Mr. Yoshizawa, a head of M Field and Mr. Takashima

Ichigo, the day before she was rescued out of the barn. She's skinny.

She didn’t want to go away from where her mother died, although she was set free. People estimated that she had just few more days before she couldn’t walk anymore, so they decided to take her out of here by force where there was no food or water.

Ichigo can be seen now and then on webcam at the sanctuary, http://fukushima-farmsanctuary.blogzine.jp/blog/2011/08/post_82ec.html
