Scale of Pet Rescues inside Fukushima Nuclear No-Go Zone by Government to be Expanded

Mr. Tajima, another member of House of the Representatives, announced in his website on July 1st, 2011 that the government has set up a special unit  to work on pet rescue from inside the 20km no-go zone. The current rescue efforts are focusing only for those that were requested by their evacuees upon their 2-hour returns, but they realized the situation would get worsen if they don’t expand the scale of the rescues now (ahhh, after 2 and a half months?).

Actual rescues will start in early July.

It looks like they will at last ‘let’ NPOs help them with their missions.
