One member of the House of Representative, Yuichiro Tamaki who has been calling for pets to be rescued from the nuclear no-go zone in Fukushima, announced in his blog on May 8 that pets will be removed from the area at the same timing when the evacuees return to their homes temporarily, which will start from May 10th. Apparently, there will be vehicles collecting these pets, and another good news is that the government will also take care of the livestock. Details will be available in an official announcement by the government on Monday May 9.
