Fukushima Prefecture Rescued 6 Pets on April 28

Fukushima prefecture (nine officials including a vet) entered the nuclear evacuation zone on 28th and rescued 5 dogs and 1 cat.

According to the local government, they will continue rescuing weakened pets they find on streets or in chain until May 2.

One of the dogs appeared very weak, but the rest were in good condition. They all cleared the radiation screening test and didn’t require cleaning. (Japan News Network, April 28)
